COMMONLIT | CommonLit is a non-profit organization created at the Harvard Graduate School of Education by former teachers. The CommonLit team is united by the goal of increasing students’ exposure to excellent texts. CommonLit believes in the tranformative power of a great text, a great question, and a great teacher to inspire thinking, discussion, and creativity. It helps develop informed and engaged citizens by improving students’ reading, writing and speaking skills. CommonLit makes teachers’ lives easier through its research-based approach: collect high-quality texts, sort them by reading level, and categorize them by the questions students love to discuss. The Clinic has collaborated with CommonLit to address a variety of issues related to contracts and website terms and helping to guide organization’s use of text resources in its teaching materials.
