The Clinic has served as counsel on a number of legal matters for StopBadware, an online consumer protection initiative that aims to combat “badware.” Clinical students have provided day-to-day advice and assisted in preparing a formal complaint filed with the Federal Trade Commission in collaboration with the Center for Democracy and Technology against FastMP3Search.com.ar for distributing badware to unsuspecting Internet users through a downloadable software plugin.
