Support CCTV at the CCTV BBQ! Clinic’s Managing Director to Receive “Leading Role” Award!

Clinic Staff · September 5, 2014 ·

2848609_300Our good friends and frequent collaborators at Cambridge Community Television are hosting their annual Back Lot BBQ on September 18, 2014.  The event will feature great food and terrific music and will undoubtedly be an all-around good time.  And, most importantly, proceeds go to support the outstanding work of CCTV and its Youth Media Program.

The Clinic has had the pleasure of working with CCTV on numerous occasions.  The team there works tirelessly to offer multiple channels of television programming, a blogging platform, and an extraordinary range of media education and technology training opportunities to the Cambridge community.  CCTV is really the gold standard for what a community media center can be, and we’re privileged to have been able to offer our Clinic students the chance to tackle cutting edge media and copyright law issues with CCTV’s Executive Director Susan Fleischmann and her amazing team over the years.

And, as if that weren’t enough, this year’s celebration will feature the presentation of CCTV’s “Leading Role” award to none other than the Clinic’s Managing Director, Chris Bavitz!  Chris will accept the award at the event and will be inducted, along with Jim Braude and Callie Crossley, onto CCTV’s Honorary Board.

We hope to see you there!
